FVL.17.Notes

I kei gudsange mi nipo dzoru nia rafa {lio/}sute denli
I don't see the need of lio here, but it certainly doesn't do any harm. I imagine APL was using it as a dimensioned unit, a period of three days, whereas te denli does not necessarily mean consecutive days, but I would have thought that covered by nia rafa. I guess I will leave it in, but leave this note as a commentary.

I le kicmu {/ga}genza snible fei.
Missing ga

I{/,}niba rodlu va le geshaa.

I la BeibiDjein {/ga}kentaa le mande je le geshaa tio, e nu djadou mei lepo ne hasnu beigru fa damkaa le geshaa, le monbia, ice miu kau nu berti {gei/bei}
Presumably a misprint, since A would be carried by the beigru, not the geshaa.

I lui la Mren, hue Dai, kraju le hedto, I tu langa nu tugle, {/inusoa}oa tu skitu la Minfiu.
A connector is necessary between the two linked sentences. In this instance, the first part implies the second, therefore inusoa is needed.

As mentioned in the notes to Chapter 5, var is the affix of vatlu. Va must be linked with y

Hue Dai{,/}klimao

Must be commaless or have a terminal gu to be recognized as an entire free modifier.

I mi jugra le nimskicei, e {capmao/klomao}le menki.
I am going by APLs English, and the context to indicate he closed his eyes, rather than opening them

Cedzu
is not defined in a verbal manner, so I have made it "This is in the shade of.." I am assuming he meant 'many' rather than 'all'

I mei skalanga lio sate metro, e nu menki go nigro ce brili.
I kept APLs older form, instead of metro lio sate, because metro has not currently a place to indicate the dimension. However, I separated the number from the unit, which I anticipate will become mandatory.

I Dai korbetmao, e tifru mei{/,}ne sakra sorhedro.
Still the result of the obsolete dimensioned units where letters are concatenated to numbers.
This will be removed in the next version of LIP.

I Dai donsu ne{/,}tori sakra mei {/guu}, {epa/efa}ne{/,}teri.
Without the comma instead of a second and a third , it becomes twelfth, and thirteenth. To be
corrected by a stress rule. Without the guu, mei efa ne, teri becomes a part of the mei argument with the meaning He gave a second sugar to the (snake and a third)

I fei na zvodanri laldo, e io {skalaldo lio sunemanei/nirne lio sunema}
Getting rid of the older dimensioned unit method.

I mi djano, hue mi{{,/. I mi}driki la {Terkoi/Torkoi}Josmaos.
Otherwise we get "And I know remember Lieutenant Josmaos", with an "I said" free modifier between know and remember. Torkoi to be consistent with the earlier chapter.

I nia lepo mi nuo setfa le barkuvlyjuo {/guo}, la BeibiDjein {/ga}lortoa ri flora le rodlynea {gui/}, e setfa fei le kapma je la Minfiu.
The guo is needed where it is. I don't understand the gui, (a ji closure, which there is not) unless it was a misprint for guo, and, if so, is in the wrong place.
